The Stag, whose real name is red deer, is the best known representative of the deer family. This magnificent mammal, with twilight or nocturnal habits, lives mainly in the temperate forests of Europe, North Africa, Asia or even North America. Recognizable to the two antlers that adorn the deer's head, it is a relatively impressive animal that can measure up to 5 feet tall, for a weight between 147 and 660 pounds! The coat, darker in males, varies with the seasons: it can be thin and brown-red in summer and become thick and gray-brown in winter to protect from the cold.
