The Story of Hank the Tank

In the summer of 2021, a huge, blazing fire raged, threatening the beautiful city of South Lake Tahoe. Amid the chaos, a large black bear broke into numerous houses in the area, who locals later named Hank the Tank because of his massive size and appetite.

Inspired by real-life news reports and conversations with local Lake Tahoe residents, The Story of Hank the Tank is filled with excitement, bravery, and a touch of bear-sized mischief!

Written by Tacoma local Marvin Vialle, and illustrated by Becca Winfred.
